Project CREAR

Project CREAR (Culturally Responsive Engagement, Articulation, and Research) is an HSI STEM initiative that will improve the University’s capacity to enroll, support, and graduate Hispanic and low-income students in STEM fields. The project’s activities include proven strategies to bring capacity and comprehensive change to dismantle barriers to a STEM education. Project CREAR takes a comprehensive approach to support the overarching goal of increasing the number of Hispanic and low-income students attaining degrees in STEM fields through a STEM student learning community, course articulation tools, early access to undergraduate research, and a campus-wide faculty and staff training on culturally responsive teaching and mentoring.
